Thanks. I love PALE FIRE. As you may recall, at home I have Nabokov's 4 volume translation and commentary on Pushkin's Eugene Onegin, in which also the commentary so greatly exceeds the poem. Anna Grace also loves sunny Sunday mornings, in her garden, which you may remember. We both love Wallace Stevens' SUNDAY MORNING, which I recommend to you. Call her and she will recite the first verse by memory. I prefer the verse which begins: I am content, she said, when wakened birds, before they fly, test the reality of fields with their sweet questionings. But when the birds are gone, and the warm fields return no more, where then is Paradise? alg
